Since several months my cat has crusty lesions on his ears and/or nose. Is this dangerous?

Those crusts can be a precursor or early stage of a skin cancer called squamous cell carcinoma. You should show them to your Vet. This type of cancer can be treated with a single treatment of photodynamic therapy, if it's recognized early enough.
