Dogs and cancer

Show or Hide answer Is a dog able to walk on three legs after amputation because of bone cancer?

With very few exceptions (major neurlogic or orthopaedic problems) amputation is very well tolerated and is often a relief for the animal: finally the pounding, severe pain of a bone tumor is gone. The adjustment usually takes only a few days to 3 weeks.
